This past year has not been a good one. Our Shirley was diagnosed with this cancer at the first of the year, My grandfather passed away, my dad's dog passed away, my dog passed away, Mike was in a motorcycle accident and at the end of the year, Shirley got sick and has been sent home with hospice. I think by anybody's standards, that year sucked.
So now we start a new one tonight. I don't see it being much better. Our Shirley is still sick. And getting sicker.
I hope for everyone else, that it is a happy and safe new year. Pray for our family.

Also have the best family in the world with 2 brothers and 3 sisters and a Great Mom and Dad that make life so much easier. Not to mention the support I get from so many of my friends and other family!

Tell Shirley - her co workers miss you terribly and think of her often. This blog is nice and I look at several times a day for your updates. I know how hard it must be for you to write some times, but you just don't know how much my heart goes out to Shirley, her husband, her children and her family. Karen & I think of you guys everyday. All of our prayers go out to you, our family. You've done a great job keeping us informed and we thank you for that. I try to keep dad and Eunice updated. I saw Kent & Diane last week, they were asking about Shirley so I filled them in too.
I know this year and next will really be tough, but we do have a great family and God for support and to comfort us. You guys will always be in our prayers.

Happy New Year to you and all of the family. Thank you also for the updates. I was thinking about how it's kind of sad that you don't really keep in contact with people the way you should until somthing like this happens. Time goes so fast you don't even realize it. I know we all didn't really "hang out" together, but I want you to know that I think of you guys every single day, and I'm really sorry for what you're going through.
