It's Snowing

Did not expect to wake up to snow. But it's beautiful. I wish Shirley could enjoy it. She is sleeping right now. She did have a lot of pain last night. But they did get it under control. It came on pretty fast. It's her tummy. She is comfortable now and sleeping.

Mike made a surprise visit around midnight so we did not spend the night alone. It was actually comforting having someone else in the room. And I know it made him feel better. I don't think he could go to bed alone at their house. It was best for everyone.

I do think they are just going to have to keep her more and more sedated. Her pain is increasing and she keeps trying to get out of bed. They seem to know what they are doing, so we will trust them.

It's much easier to update ... this computer is right outside her room. Enjoy the snow.

It's awesome that your job will let you take this time to be with Shirley. I would want to be with my sister, too. You're a great person. Give Shirley a hug from me and let her know I'm still praying for all of you. Give yourself a big hug, too, Teresa.

Oh Shirley, I wish I could have come to see you with my parents this past December! I'm so glad I was able to talk to you for that short time. I'm glad you were up and feeling good that day when you were all over at Grandmas house. I thought it was so nice and thoughtful that you wanted to put that nice tree together for Grandma with her old pins/broaches. You're so thoughtful even in your pain and such a blessing to everyone around you. I'm continuously praying for you that God will help ease your pain and give you a smile. I'm so glad that Teresa has set up this blog so people can write and she can read things to you! I love you and hope I can make it out there to see you!

I am so glad for the time I was able to visit my last trip to Kansas. Teresa please tell your mom, dad, brothers and sisters I say hello and hope to visit with them again soon. God bless, Julie Fodor (Sutherland)

Hey Shirley it's your cousin Chad. I regretfully have not seen you much in our adult life but I remember the good times we all had when we were younger. You have always had a calm, fun loving personality which fills those around you with joy. It was good to see you at the family reunion a couple years back, I wish I were able to see you more than just that time. You do not deserve to be in such a situation. Shirley we will miss you and one day will join you in God's kingdom. Me and my family want you to know that we love you and are praying for you. God bless, Chad, Mitsy, Chloe, Elijah, and Savannah.
